This week the District of New Jersey Alumni Association for the United States Attorney’s Office announced the launch of their new website. The site will serve as a source of information for legal updates and events as well as a database for member contact information. The site is sponsored by Baker Hostetler, Gibbons PC, and Sills Cummis & Gross and is designed by Inherent, Inc.

 

“This is an excellent way for the alumni to stay in touch and network with their peers” said John Carney, Secretary and Treasurer of the association.

 

The United States Attorney’s Office is responsible for the prosecution of federal criminal statutes for all of New Jersey, from acts of terrorism to public corruption, white-collar crime, organized crime and gang activities, internet-related crimes, drug importation through New Jersey ports, and many other criminal acts. The Office is also charged, through its Civil Division, with defending agencies of the United States, enforcing regulatory agencies' authority, and recovering funds from violators of U.S. criminal, regulatory, and civil laws.
